Compassion

An Injury to one is an injury to all. A shared humanity bonds us as one race. Bringing a sense of love and compassion to decision making ensures we arrive at the fairest outcome for everyone. We must strive to build a community of compassion.

Equity

There is neither fairness nor justice in the contrast between poverty and wealth. Every person must be seen as equal and their basic human rights must be respected.

Prosperity

Each person has the right to a decent quality of life. Social and economic prosperity can only be reached if we aim to ensure that support is given to all those in need. Prosperity for all will help us sustain a loving and caring community.

Respect for Diversity

The voices and experiences of everyone in the community must be valued and respected. A strong society embraces difference and encourages all its members to make a positive contribution.

Pursuit of Peace

Settling differences through war and conflict is not just. The pursuit of peace must take precedence over the pursuit of war. We will never achieve peace while there is inequality between men and women.

Wisdom

The wisdom of our elders and past leaders should be valued and their contribution to society respected. We can learn from their achievements and mistakes.
